Gifts for Shower Hosts
I made these bath-themed gift baskets for each of my shower hosts... 3 at my first shower, 2 at my second shower. Inside, there was hand soap, body wash, lotion, loofah, a reed oil diffuser, chocolates (just for fun), and for my BM's who hosted, I gave them brown flip flops to match their BM dresses to wear at the reception. All of the items were in the same color and the tag said, "From my shower to yours..." They were about $30 each (thanks to $1 flip flops at Old Navy and $1 baskets at Target) and well worth it!
Gifts for Bridesmaids
We got our 3 bridesmaids each a pair of these brown pearls, to match their dresses. I think they liked them! :)
Gifts for Groomsmen
DH came up with a "Hangover" themed gift bag for his groomsmen. Included was:
- The Hangover DVD (which wasn't out yet, so I made fake DVD covers and put them in empty DVD cases! We've ordered them later to be shipped to them.
- Fossil "aviator" sunglasses.
- 6-pack of their favorite beer.
- 5-hour energy drinks.
- Hangover pills.
Not the usual groomsmen gifts, but they all seemed to like it! And kudos to DH for thinking outside the box! :)

Gifts for Parents
To thank our parents for helping us with the wedding and being there to support us, we got them tickets to concerts in their hometowns. This was difficult since that includes Northern IL, St. Louis MO, and Southwest FL! But we did some searching and found the perfect shows for all 3 sets of parents (mine are divorced and remarried). We wrapped up the tickets and gave them out at the rehearsal dinner with the bridesmaid/groomsmen gifts.
It was kind of risky, assuming they would be able to go, but it all worked out... even the show for my dad that was less than a week after our wedding! Again, not the usual parent gifts, but they seemed to love it.
